To get your other drive to appear with the proper letter -

From the VMWare Player menu: 
    VM -> Settings -> Options Tab -> Shared Folders.
    
Click "Add" and select the folder / drive you wish to share.
Provide the name you want (This will be the name of the drive)

Click Next, make sure "Enable this share" is enabled.
Click Finish, then in the settings click "OK".

Now a network drive "Shared Folders (\\vmware-host) (Z:)" should appear
