PIB stands for Produto Interno Bruto, which is the Portuguese term for Gross Domestic Product (GDP).
Brazil is a country located in South America and is the 5th largest country in the world by both land area and population. Brazil has the 9th largest economy in the world and is a member of the BRICS group of emerging economies (alongside Russia, India, China, and South Africa).
According to the World Bank, Brazil's GDP (PIB) in 2021 is forecasted to increase by 2.7%. This is a significant improvement compared to the -4.1% contraction of Brazil's GDP in 2020 caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.
In 2020, the services sector was the largest contributor to Brazil's GDP, accounting for 73.2% of the total. The industry sector followed closely behind, contributing 20.3%. The remaining 6.4% was contributed by the agriculture sector.
PIB Brazil is an important economic indicator that reflects the country's overall economic performance. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, Brazil's PIB is expected to bounce back in 2021. The services sector is the primary contributor to Brazil's economy, followed by the industry and agriculture sectors.
