单列直插式内存模块(SIMM)是指小的电路板,无论RAM芯片固定在哪里,都具有槽口。 SIMM连接器以及因此位于母板上的插槽均由金属(金或锡)制成。在SIMM中,两个小平面中存在的引脚都已连接。 SIMM呈现两种类型,一种具有30引脚,另一种具有72引脚。

双列直插式内存模块(DIMM)还具有几乎类似于SIMM的金属连接器,但是连接器的任何一个边界都不允许这样做。 DIMM支持64位通道进行数据传输,而SIMM仅支持最多32位通道。现代主板使用三种类型的DIMM礼物,一种是168针,第二种是184针,第三种是240针。

SIMM仅具有一个可用方面,因为仅具有一组工具,而DIMM在两侧具有完全不同的信号引脚,平方信号可用,并且不相信另一侧。

9. The length and width of SIMM are respectively 4.25 inches and 1 inch. The length and width of DIMM are respectively 1.67 to 5.25 inches and 1 to 1.75 inches.
10. There are single notches in SIMMs. There are two notches in DIMMs.
