计算机辅助制造(CAM)是使用计算机软件来控制模块制造中的机床。 CAM将工程设计转变为最终产品。 CAM与传统制造不同,因为CAM在制造过程中实现了自动化。计算机辅助制造也称为计算机辅助建模或加工。 CAM的目的是使用3D模型设计加工过程。因此,在简单中我们可以说CAM将几何转换为机床。因此,没有计算机辅助设计(CAD),计算机辅助制造(CAM)就没有意义。受过训练的机械师通常使用计算机辅助制造(CAM)软件。
CAM软件的示例包括Work NC,Siemens NX,Power MILL,SolidCAM等。
