1.开源软件:
开源软件是由个人,团体或组织为了满足某些要求而开发的计算机软件,并且可以根据其开发机构的兴趣进行任何修改。开源软件是面向公众公开发布的,此处的源代码是面向所有人开放的。对于开源软件,用户无需花费任何费用。它可以免费获得许可。它依靠捐赠和支持作为其主要发现来源。

开源软件的一些示例包括Firefox,OpenOffice,Zimbra,VCL媒体播放器,Thunderbird。

2.商业软件:
商业软件是计算机软件,只有创建它的个人,团队或组织可以修改,并且他们对该软件拥有专有权。任何需要使用它的人都必须为其支付有效和授权的许可证。此处的源代码受到保护。对于商业软件,用户需要花费中等到昂贵的成本。可在高昂的许可费用下获得。它取决于其软件销售/产品许可作为其主要资金来源。

商业软件的一些示例是Windows操作系统,MS Office,SAP,Oracle,Adobe Photoshop。
