逻辑架构芯片组由两个芯片组成,即北桥和南桥。
1.北桥:
北桥是主板中朝北的两个芯片之一。北桥的主要函数是管理中央处理器和主板部件之间的通信。北桥直接通向前端总线(FSB)。北桥的其他名称是主机桥和内存控制器中枢(MCH)。
2.南桥:
南桥是逻辑芯片组体系结构中的另一个芯片。它位于主板中外围组件互连(PCI)总线的南部。南桥的主要函数是控制IO的功能。
北桥是连接南桥和中央处理单元的媒介。 IO控制器中心是South Bridge功能的另一个名称。
北桥与南桥的区别:
