先决条件 – 区域网络类型 – LAN、MAN 和 WAN
城域网(MAN)：
MAN 覆盖的区域比 LAN 大，例如：小镇、城市等。MAN 连接 2 台或多台计算机，这些计算机以区域为单位，但位于同一个或完全不同的城市。 MAN 很昂贵，应该或可能不属于一个组织。
广域网 (WAN)：
广域网比局域网和城域网覆盖的区域更大，例如：国家/大陆等。广域网很昂贵，应该或可能不属于一个组织。 PSTN 或卫星媒体用于广域网。
