A cartesion product is when 2 or more tables get joined in such a way
that it creates all rows of 1 table matched with all of the rows of the 
second table:

shirts|pants
shirt1 | pants1
shirt1 | pants2
shirt1 | pants3
shirt2 | pants1
shirt2 | pants2
etc.
