BSS和ISS的区别

1. 基本服务集(BSS)：
基本服务集 (BSS) 是一种服务集，为无线组件或设备之间的连接和通信提供媒介。此处，媒体称为接入点 (AP)。 AP 是一种允许无线设备连接到有线网络的设备。

2. 独立服务集(ISS)：
独立服务集 (ISS) 是一种服务集，它不需要任何介质来连接和允许无线组件或设备之间的通信。

BSS和ISS的区别：

BSS	ISS
In BSS, wireless devices communicate through medium.	In ISS, wireless devices communicate directly with each other without any medium.
BSS basically contain only one AP.	ISS does not require any AP and therefore no AP is present in ISS.
BSS usually provide short range wireless communication as compared to ISS.	ISS usually provide long range wireless communication as compared to BSS.
BSS does not support mobility i.e. user or client cannot move freely from one place to another.	ISS supports mobility i.e. user or clients can move freely from one place to another while communicating with each other without any interruption.
Clients or users are connected through a medium i.e. AP.	Clients or users are connected directly with each other without any need of AP.
Though BSS is easy, but it is rarely used.	ISS is mostly used as compared to BSS.
BSS usually set up connection between many wireless devices.	ISS usually set up connection between two or more fixed devices or laptops that needed to exchange files. There is no other network present.
It is also known as Infrastructure more.	It is also known as ad-hoc mode or peer to peer mode.
