密度和比重之间的差异

A football is a sphere, so it’s volume is 4/3 * π * r3
converting radius from mm to cm and plugging it in the formula we get
volume of football = 4/3 * π * 43 = 2144.66 cm3.
mass = 160g
=> density = 160/2144.66 = 0.074 gm/cm3
specific gravity = density of football / density of water
=>specific gravity = 0.074/1 = 0.074
as the specific gravity of football is less than 1 the ball will float on water.

weight of 200 ml of alcohol = density * volume
weight of 200 ml of alcohol = 0.8 * 200 = 160 gm
let us assume that adding ‘x’ gram of water will bring specific gravity of alcohol to 0.9.
volume of x gram of water = 1 * x = x ml.
=> final mass of the solution (water + alcohol) = 160 + x
and final volume of the solution = 200 + x.
density of solution = (160 + x) / (200 + x)
=> (160 + x) / (200 + x) = 0.9
=> 160 + x = 180 + 0.9x
=> 0.1x = 20
=> x = 200
therefore 200 gm of water must be added to 200 ml of alcohol to make the alcohol’s density to 0.9.
