I recently had the opportunity to interview with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) for a software development role. The interview process consisted of a technical interview, coding round, and HR interview.
The technical interview focused on my core computer science knowledge, including data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and database management. The interviewer asked me to explain how different data structures work and their time and space complexity. They also asked me to write code to solve some algorithmic problems using the language of my choice.
The coding round was conducted on a platform where I was given a set of coding problems and had to solve them within a specified time limit. The questions were challenging and required good problem-solving skills and knowledge of programming concepts. I was able to finish all the questions within the given time frame and was satisfied with my performance.
The HR interview was more of a personal discussion where the interviewer asked me about my background, interests, and career goals. They also explained the company culture and policies and asked me if I would be willing to relocate if required.
Overall, my experience interviewing with TCS was positive. Their interview process was rigorous but fair, and the interviewers were knowledgeable and professional. I would recommend preparing thoroughly for the technical interview and coding round by revising core computer science concepts and practicing problem-solving.
